for freediving, the lower volume mask the better. Equalizing at depth can use quite a bit of air if you start going deep.

Im a freediver so I already know about the whole low volume mask ordeal ...just wondering what everyone else is using for equipment thats all....

I use an AQA "Bubo" mask with black silicone skirt, and black Esclapez fins. The fin blades are the perfect stiffness; I don't think I'd like the green fins as much.

People with differently shaped faces/feet will disagree, though. I just went with this equipment because it fits me really well. Not having to wear fin keepers is nice!

I personally use a Omer alien mask and a pair of Omer Millenium fins.....I wouldn't trade them for the world. Also have a pair of Mares Avanti Quattro fins and they are great for beginners or for those that switch back between freediving and scuba diving, tropical diving too.
