Just got back from a dive trip and saw a mask made by "H2Odyssea". It had reading lenses built into the lower section of the faceplate. Been googling all morning but can't find it on-line. Anyone here heard of or seen this mask anywhere ?? I can find a couple masks made by H2Odyssea but they don't have the reading lenses. Also ...I can't seem to find any links to the actual company so that I can contact them direct.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

The lenses may very well have been an add-on, not from the same company.

Well ...not according to the other diver and the mask looked pretty "factory" to me. You can usually tell if it's an add-on.

But thanks for the spelling correction. I wrote it down pretty fast in my log book and could hardly read my own writing.

I saw a pair like this in the Divers Direct catalog. I don't recall the brand name though. But they had a little square "lens" on the bottom that were the magnification lenses for reading. Don't recall if they were add ons or not but you might want to look on their site. I think I saw a pair on Scubatoys' site too.

Thanks ...I'll check it out. But these were solid magnifyers that ran across the entire bottom of the face plate rather than being little squares. I already have the type you moisten and press on but they're a pain.

Just got this reply from H2odessy:

The Alpha 2 mask is our only mask with the option of bifocal lenses.
The mask does not come in different widths, but fits most faces. It is
probably our most popular mask. We are a distributor so,
unfortunately, we cannot sell to you directly. The easiest way to get
a hold of one of these would be through www.scuba.com. I know they
carry the bifocal lenses but they only sell the Alpha 2 mask with a
purge. If you do not want to go through scuba.com, I could try and
help you find a dealer near you. Thank you.
