I have two Horizons and love them. the amount of view is great. I altered one with a back of the head adjustable strap.....and no....my hair does not get caught in it.
“From birth, man carries the weight of gravity on his shoulders. He is bolted to earth. But man has only to sink beneath the surface and he is free.” Jacques Cousteau Photos in my Gallery taken with Canon Powershot A720IS with Canon housing, no strobe.
I recently bought the Cressi Big Eyes and love it! Only three dives in it so far but works for me. A couple of my dive buddies use it as well and recommended it.
"Good days are to be gathered like grapes, to be trodden and bottled into wine and kept for age to sip at ease beside the fire. If the traveler has vintaged well, he need trouble to wander no longer; the ruby moments glow in his glass at will.” - Freya Stark
My favorite mask is Mare X-Vision, very light weight, low volume, and a nice field of vision. Hard to go wrong with the cressi or horizon, so any will be a fine choice.
I'm using a Tusa visualator http://www.tusa.com/masks_visualator.shtml
And it really does have a great field of view. Just another option to make the decision more difficult
I chose the Cressi Big Eyes primarily because of their corrective lenses, but I've been very pleased with the fit and comfort over the past two years. The Horizon doesn't offer a choice of optics, so if that is (or might become) a consideration, go for the Big Eyes.
