My guess is you inhale more chemicals walking around a city then you would absorb from bathing in baby shampoo for a week.
As others have pointed out, any anesthy4etic in the product would quickly bring a review from the FDA. Any ingredient used in any way as a drug requires careful scrutiny by the FDA. J&J would be shut down so quickly and publicly that this news would reverberate from every source.
I really liked the reasoning behind the red-eyes/no pain analysis. Great point from someone who obviously considers what they hear/see/read before accepting the "data" blindly.
