I'm looking to upgrading from my Oceanic Shadow to one of these Hollis masks. Would love to try both in person but I'm limited to ordering online. There's tons of user reviews for the M1 but not so much for the M3. My first instinct is to get the M1 since it's similar to the Oceanic Shadow that I love, but the increased downward visibility with the teardrop lens on the M3 is tempting. Is the split lens view on the M3 a significant distraction? Is there a difference in field of view? Are there any other significant differences between the two masks that would sway you either way?

Also, are generic slap straps fine with the Hollis masks? Thanks in advance for your answers.
