View Poll Results: Which rubber fins would you go for?
In the military...fins selection is left up to the personal choice of the diver.
I think you have been misinformed that in the military fin selection is left to the personal choice of the diver. I mean I have a cousin who is a combat swimmer and those guys use solid rubber fins which is the standard issue. If he shows up wearing PINK Tusa Imprex, you can bet he will be out of the Navy in no time
But ya you are right that since military gear is not designed to be personal gear belonging to one person, it is run of the mill stuff designed to LAST the longest. And that is my preference too cuz I want my fin to look the same after 3 years. Plastic blades wear our too fast.

It depends on which branch of the service you're in.
For the Navy divers, either standard stock items or "diver preferance" applies towards many items. They can buy many goodies right out of a local dive shop.

It warms my little stroke heart to see all of the regs that are approved for cold water use - Poseidons all over the place I love those things.
