Destin and Navarre shore diveable wrecks(allegedly)

So... Apparently, there is a wreck washed up just off Henderson Beach(Destin). http://pub9.bravenet.com/forum/737693202/show/546264 I'm guessing its a newish sailboat, not an old wreck like the several we have in So. AL. I may walk out there Saturday to see if I can spot it, maybe snorkel it if water is friendly.

I've also heard of another wreck uncovering off Navarre Beach thats accessible by beach. No idea on exact location. I think its the same wreck in the Ned DeLoach book listed under "unknown wreck" in Pensacola Beach - but thats just a hunch really.

If anyone has any info on any of this that they'd like to share, please do

Keep us posted on this new wreck...sounds like we could do a Saturday afternoon dive on the new wreck, then a Saturday night dive on the jetties, and then a Sunday dive at Morrison. Could be a good weekend???

I'm planning on heading out there early just to take a look from the surface. Not gonna dive it just yet, but locating it would be nice

    Sorta...

There's an old derrelict that has recently been uncovered on Santa Rosa Island, pretty much due south of the area of beach the AF owns which makes beach access an impossibility. ~100x30' hulk if I was told correctly. Boat access only just outside the second sandbar.

There's a newer ~30-35' sailboat that washed ashore, then got carried out by high surf and sunk between sandbars. Its about 1000-1500' East of the pier on the East end of the Boardwalk, also on Santa Rosa Island.

I haven't verified any of it.

I did a job on Navarre beach six plus months ago. There was a grounded sail boat, probably in the 35' class

The home owners told me it was grounded and abandond by the owner during the hurricanes, it may have sank and this may be the one.

There may be some salvage availab le

I would doubt that there is much worth salvaging, but still might be a fun dive.

And depending on the area of the AF beach we are talking about, I might be able to help with that.
