Which Pier and which beach?
If it's in my area, Hell Yeah!!!! I'll be there...and I'll bring a (new diver) buddy too.
That'll be a nice way to get him involved in Project Aware, REEF,WPB Reef Rescue and the Ocean Conservancy.
I suggested to the local dive shop to talk to the town of Juno Beach about letting us do a pier clean up sometime in the summer (i.e. close the pier for a couple hours) but they are not interested in inconveniencing a few fishermen.

Actually Brett is not the creator of the event, Pavan is. Yet somehow I'm able to see it so, Jenny, I just sent the invite to you even though you can't attend it.
The city of Deerfield Beach is going to be closing the pier for fishing during the morning. At that time we'll be diving under the pier to remove fishing lines, hooks, waste material that were thrown down there, while at the same time checking out the beautiful reef which is forming right under the Deerfield Beach pier. We'll be needing volunteers to help topside. Volunteers will help sign up the divers that will want to go in the water, and others to help remove the waste collected by the divers. This event happens only once a year so don't miss out on it!!! Please call us for more info. 954-420-0009

How's the parking situation down there?
Can I expect Parking Meter Nazi's like they have at LBTS?
If someone could post more info as the event draws nearer...perhaps detailed directions and such.
