I just don't log dives
netdoc; i'm also "living the dream" last minute decision to go diving today(light winds)!
mediocre viz yesterday except for conch reef and further south. elected to double dip(it is repetitive!!)molasses. 1st dive, deep(50-90ft), mdt current, blue water, viz 50ft- decreasing to 25 ft(green) @ best and colder midway thru the dive. temp 78-79F. lots of turtles but difficult conditions for wide angle. the worst viz i've observed on the deep sites in some time. 2nd dive, southern shallow buoy(pillar coral and permit ledge/fire coral cave) with 40+ viz increasing to 50 by the end of our dive. mdt current, 79-80F. eagle ray, large schools of chubs, horseye jacks, permits, blue and brown chromis and yellowtail snapper. the reef was alive,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

photos 1-5 deep molasses, the rest shallow

Post away Reefman!!! Your photos are beautiful!

I'm actually considering tearing myself away from Blue Heron Bridge and driving down to the Keys one of these days. Maybe in August as I'm planning a little SoFL staycation.

keep posting, this is how I get my Keys fix until I get down there in July.

Reefman what is the name of your boat(if it has one)? This way I would know if I see you on the reef .Yesterday we scootered/snorkeled, gear is being serviced. Went to the duane saw wreck from the surface but the current was kicking. Molasses ball number 2 flying again but saw 4 eagle rays, turtle, school of 10 nice size tarpon and I think a bull shark(too quick cannot be 100 pct sure)

no name on my vessel(hell i don't even monitor channel 16!!). if i'm diving molasses(alot lately), my 22FT pro cat open fisherman, is moored to either the northern deep buoy or the 4 southern shallow buoys. stop by and say hello. current permitting, hoping for a double on the duane on thurs, if not molasses. it's a fact; the molasses reef tract has been alive the past few weeks. winds variable 5-10kts thurs and friday!!!

Hopefully I will be there Thursday (Mo), scootering not diving my boat is in my signature. Stands out a bit

Nice clear shots. Love the cute Puffer fish.
