I am partial to Coasties and P.J's, because they carry band-aids and are like 911 for Seals, Rangers, Recon, and Pilots.
It's all about fun folks!
Both are fun, fun dives and if you have the time, you should dive there. Most people never get to see an underwater habitat.
well NetDoc, for this habitat you need a vessel(trust me this dive is worthy of braving 6FT seas!); here's the real deal off conch wall(65FT @ base). photos from timg of a double dip we did this past summer(or 2010),,,,,,,,

I refuse to believe that corporations are people until Texas executes one.

........The next day although the seas had begun to calm, just not enough for a students first boat dive, we headed to Pennekamp State Park for some shore diving......
Question.... I thought you could only snorkel off the shore in Pennekamp. Are you saying you can actually dive?? If you can dive, is it only as part of an organized class like Tiger lake in Ft. Lauderdale??
I like to run my first open water dives at JUL. You can't beat the staff or price. It's a great confidence builder for new divers and you do get the chance to stress bouyancy skills. If they silt it up and can still perform all the basics multiple times, they're that much better prepared. It can get a bit dicey when the marine camp next door can't get out on the reef and you get a bunch of middle schoolers making entries all over and checking out the "real divers". Great people, site and training experience equals a big win in my book.
