I am taking my son to complete his OW at Ginnie Springs the first week of April. My wife and I will dive while he's completing his cert dives. When complete we're heading to Kissimmee for a few days and would like to hit other spots while in the area.
I have dove the springs in the panhandle but this is the first time for this area of the state. What recommendations can everyone give for the top couple of sites? My son will be diving with us and he will be fresh off of his OW cert.
Thanks!
maybe a quick trip down to the coast, Stuart or Jupiter are only about 2.5 hours away, another 30 mins to WPB, another 30 mins to Ft Lauderdale. The rest of the places are kind of overhead like blue grotto, devils den, and paradise springs. Blue springs is probably the closest and cheapest option to Orlando, but its also not open open water either, its a hole you go down into. Alexander is ok, not too much to do there, you can see plenty, not very deep either.
