Relatively new to the ScubaBoard. My wife and I are trying to plan a short dive week to either Destin or Ft. Lauderdale and cannot decide where to go. We are limited to these two locales because we are trying to use a timeshare package we were conned into buying a while back. Otherwise, we'd be heading back to Coz. Which would you do and why??
Southeast Florida has some excellent diving. I live in Tampa, and I can tell you Gulf of Mexico diving is less than excellent. Jupiter/W. Palm area is especially good.
I vote for Ft. Lauderdale. I've dove both in the last year. 8 times with Scuba Tech in Destin, and 6 times with Lauderdale Diver. Plus, if you go to Lauderdale, you're only 2 hours drive from the Keys.
