Unhappy Lost Mask and snorkel BHB

    Hey ya'll,

Well we finally got to dive Blue Heron Bridge Saturday. Visibility was not great at all, but we did see an octopus and a few star fish puffers and various other fish! Very cool. This was our first dive since last August, so this was our shake out dive! (Our 3rd total dive since being certified!)
Stupid me left my Genesis mask and snorkel either on the ledge by the West side, or it fell off the truck!? The salt water played a number on the skin on my nose. You learn as you go! I am hoping that someone might have picked it up. Please let me know! Thanks Kelly.

PS learned from someone that you can jump on a ferry in Fort Lauderdale and go to the Bahamas for the day for just $100! Wow!

We were the last divers out of there on Saturday and I don't recall seeing a mask or snorkel. Hopefully someone picked it up for you. Good luck.

As for the ferry to the Bahamas, you can get trips for way less than $100. However, once you get through custom you only have about 3 hours on the island.

Check out Discovery Cruise Line - Bahamas Cruise - Official Site - The Best Deals to the Bahamas - Bahamas Party Cruise and Vacations

They have some fairly cheap weekend vacation packages. My wife and I stayed at Pelican Bay for 3 nights. The total trip with diving (Unexo was right in the hotel parking lot) cost about $350-$400. Just don't expect much out of the boat trip over. The cruise boat is very old and the food on it was not edible (and I am a big guy that is not picky with food). I would not recommend the boat trip... but the total mini-vacation was fantastic. They have other packages on the website, but none of the hotels were very nice. If you are going to do it, check out either Pelican Bay or the Sheridan. The beach right off the sheridan was great for a little snorkelling after diving.
