The hurricane has passed and no doubt everyone was ready to get back in the water. The tides were right at the Destin jeddies so Randy and Danny Sharkey(friends from my LDS) and I took the trip to Destin. Hwy 90 is back in working order so our detour wasn't too entirely long. The sand is built up on the north side of the jeddies quite a bit more than it used to be but there is already signs of erotion which should get the shoreline back where it was. Visibility was 5-10' and there was alotta junk in the water with a bit of current, even just after high tide. We did get to see lots and lots of fish. Mullet were chasing the pinfish out of the water. Toadfish, blennies, gobies, and damsels all stuck to the rocks unless a blue or stone crab chased them out. Spades, Angels, and a Tang gave us some nice colors to look at. Pretty much all the rest of the normal fish still call the place home after the hurricane as well. Good stuff is that I got to meet SeaYoda and Seaangel, so we had 3 SB'ers in the water. The SB'ers nearly matched the number of other divers in the water. Normally, the jeddies are full, but today there were only a group of 3 coming out while we were going in and I had two friends from the LDS - 3 SBers and 5 other divers, not too shabby.

After the first dive we decided to find another site to continue the day that wouldn't require as much fight against the current(Danny is a youngin who's just been certified and she wasn't too sure about the current) so we figured we'd go take a look at Morrison Springs just incase it had settled enough to dive. Well, the place was still a swamp so we ventured up the road to Vortex and had a quick relaxing dive there :) they still had clear water and all the normal inhabitants of the spring were there to entertain us.

All in all, we had a ton of fun, can't wait till next time! You can find pics here -> http://www.suprbugman.com/gallery/album23
