I've been invited to Coconut Creek to visit friends (non-divers). Of course I will have to bring my gear. Where should I start researching to find dive shops, dive boats, and sites - both reef and wreck? Thank you.

Dixie Divers in Deerfield Beach and Parrot Island Scuba in Pompano Beach are both pretty straight shots east of where you're going to be staying. Between the two of them, you ought to be able to dive any day of the week. They're both cool ops.
Thanks for all the info. I would like to get down there B4 the holidays begin near the end of November. I'll be looking for a buddy so I'll post when I go.
