My name is Blair Mott and I very excited about
scubaboard and its growing community.
I’m also thrilled to be here representing Force Fin as
its “Ambassador in Residence”. Bob Evans of Force Fin
has offered to sponsor me on ScubaBoard to answer any
questions you may have about my various diving
experiences, from the amazon to the Antarctic . The
many diverse environments I have experience
throughout my travels around the globe; I welcome any
questions about the equipment I have successfully used
including all the different Force Fin products that have helped complete numerous advanced dives where the fin made the real difference.
To be worthy of this sponsorship and of value to you,
let me give you an overview about my experiences. For
the past 18 years from my early learning days to chief
diver on filming expeditions many which can be seen on
PBS and the Discovery channel. I have had the
opportunity to dive with anacondas in the Amazon,
pilot whales in the Comoros Islands, filming among
sharks feeding and mating in Rangiroa.
I’ve dove to the depths of the USS Monitor, among the
silent wrecks of the Great Lakes and Truk Lagoon Micronesia, From the tropical
cenotes of the Yucatan to the frigid water in the
Arctic.
From my early experiences I’ve worked as a NOAA
diver, and with the U.S. National Marine Sanctuary
Program, the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History.
later I would join the team of Jean Michel Cousteau’s
Ocean Future’s Society where I became the chief diver.
From rigging equipment in a pinch to piloting boats to
small ships.
I’m certified as an instructor for multiple agencies
from open water, to most technical specialties through
closed circuit re-breather level.
Please check out the Force Fin equipment sub forum and
feel free to post any questions you have, whether
about Force Fin products or anything else I may offer
to you as a diver and fellow adventurer. You can post
your questions at anytime and I’ll answer them as
quickly as I can.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Blair Mott
