Does anyone have any experience with M/V The Witch with Sea King for the Similan Islands? Would you recommend it? Is it the same as The Really Wicked Witch anyway?
The (Really Wicked) Witch is a low-budget boat that is popular with divers from Malaysia and Singapore. The boat (and other similar ones, such as the meant to replace the Witch) is fine if you don't mind sleeping in fairly close quarters and sharing a limited number of bathrooms/showers. The divers I've had with the operator have generally come back reasonably happy with the diving and the food.
Thanks OnTheSpot, stevenl, and Quero for your responses. I know I'm not paying a lot for this boat so I can't expect too much. I'm just looking for overall cleanliness, knowledge of DM and staff, and user-friendliness, so to speak.
I'm looking into booking it for March 2011. It sounds like I'm getting myself into a newly-renovated boat then?
