I'll be in Hoi An mid-June, and will probably do a couple of dives at the Cham Islands.

Any recommendations as to dive operators or other specifics?

As this is a short trip, not primarily for diving, I'll need full rental gear. I'd really appreciate any recent suggestions for safe operators with well maintained equipment.

Thanks!

Updating my own post, for anyone who finds this in the time-capsule-that-is-the-internet:

I ended up going for a day of diving with Blue Coral divers, out to the Cham Islands. Nice folks, comfortable boat, well organized, decent rental gear (though the wetsuits were pretty tired), and a good DM. I did one dive -- about 23C at the surface, notably colder at 18M, with limited viz (~5M). There was plenty of fish life, and big coral in the shallows -- nothing like MX, but it was great to see the contrast in lifeforms in different areas. I skipped the second dive (too cold for me), and enjoyed snorkling with my wife before the seafood lunch arranged by Blue Coral. A nice day overall, but not a diving destination for me with the temperature & viz, though I'd certainly recommend Blue Coral.
