anyone have an idea of what my chances are to just show up on mabul and get a room..im going next month and cant decide on a resort and would like to check them out when
i get there...but I'm also worried about the fact of getting there and there being nothing available...
you can't just show up "in" Mabul. The normal route is to fly into Tawau and then the dive operator transfers you to Sempora, and then by their boat to Mabul or Sipadan. I met with the owner of Borneo Divers in November. They will offer some discounts on a last minute basis via their office in KK. You should talk to Ursula and mention that Walter (the tarvel agent from the US,who also spoke German) reccommended you to call, etc. fone # (6088) 222226 or 221340
