Scubastore / DiveInn website about to hike prices

...just received the following email, thought I would pass it along seeing as DiveInn has a bit of a following on ScubaBoard...

    Dear Divers,

Over the past few months the US$ to Euro exchange rate has changed dramatically. At this moment we are forced to adjust the conversion rate from 1.07 to a more realistic rate of 1.15 US$ to the Euro. As soon as this change takes effect both the products and the shipping prices for US$ customers will increase by 8%.

This message is to give those of you that were planning to shop from us in the near future the opportunity to do so at today's prices before the price changes go into effect next week.

Hopefully, in the near future, the exchange rate will even out again and we can adjust our prices accordingly.

Wishing you all a nice season,

    Your Scubastore Team.
Sounds like prices are going up in the very near future if you're buying from the US. Might be a good time to shop.

US commentators said that the Euro would never go through parity....

Let's just say the worlds two strongest economies have currencies that stink at the moment! I am not looking forward too much to being paid in Yen from July with the pound being so strong at the moment - looks like my holiday prices will be going up....

say thanks to our lads in DC

In just a little over a year, the dollar lost 20% to some of Europe's currencies.

On a bright note, our European friends can better afford to come & visit.

Exactly. I'm going to Canada shortly and I'm planning on doing some shopping The Canadian dollar is down like 40% against the Euro. Just try to get those kinds of discounts at your LDS
