Great, thanks. I am considering going 'walkabout' next year with another 8 to 10 day road trip. If I get around any of the locations I would like to see a shop or two.
best cold water regs for me - poseidon, but too expensive to own and service. so i dive apeks. had freeflows on scubapro. apeks for me takes 2 minutes on PURGE before they freeflow in winter temperature. scubapro freezed almost straight away.
best for you is rent several and try them out in conditions you will be diving in.
I meant FSR but can't edit using iPad...seriously though any sealed reg on the market will be fine...I have been using the Apeks for a few years now in both cold and warm water with no complaints, bar breathing a little hard when inverted but was solved with a tune...as I said cheap from scubastore.com...very simple regs and service kits readily available should you wish to go down that road...being mde in the UK I would imagine servicing would be easy...Good luck...
