so i will be going out for sailing training in cold and a dry suit is recommended. Could i use my diving dry suit (without the tank being hooked up) without damaging anything like the inflator valve if i capsize and enter the water?

thank you for help!

the suits are all but identical, only difference is the you have valves. The valves don't care if it is hooked up or not, they seal when not plugged in. Only damage is if you capsize and break the valves by falling on something but even there they are pretty durable. If you don't have a P-valve you may want to stick one on there though :)
