    Spear Gun

Looking to buy a spear gun to start hunting. Don't want to go after really big fish just dinner size! :-) Any advice on brand or Type.

    Thanks

Gun size doesn't neccesarily have a lot to do with fish size. Longer guns give more range and more accuracy. Assuming you're not a little bitty guy, I find the A.B. Biller 48 Special to be a good first gun. Mahogany is cheapest material and will last just as well.

    Shaun,

Scubatech carries Riffe (beautiful and expensive), but Chuck's Dive World (outside Eglin's east gate) carries JBL (not as finely crafted, but more than adequate). I use the JBL Sawed-off Woody and my wife has an old Biller.
