Now that the airlines have limited liquids in carry on luggage, How do we thirsty divers go about buying/transporting all that cheap tasty medicinal rum we used to get at the duty free stores prior to boarding?

I think they changed the rules that if you buy the stuff in the secure area (duty free after having passed the security check point) you can take it on board without any problems the way it used to be.

At the next stop, however, if you are clearing customs and rechecking, you must then insert the booze into your checked bags. You can only carry on highly flammable liquids handed to you in the jetway by a duty free clerk.

TSA logic modified and tempered by demands of Capitalism of the Merchants within the secuered areas.

Makes sense to me.
