Layang-Layang Resort - is it worth the trip?

I am interetsed in any views on spending time diving at Layang-Layang Resort.
I have 6, 9 and 11 day options. Is it worth it going there for that long?
I had a sobering experience whereby I listened to advice from inexperienced divers and wasted time by booking a 2-week trip on Sipidan Island (courtesy of Pulau-Sipidan Divers) in Malaysia. It turned out to have only a good 5 days of diving before you fell asleep!
I don't want the same old, same old Malaysian experience this time round...

I have a trip report posted in the Asia forum http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/malaysia-singapore/231510-layang-layang-trip-report.html I have been to Malaysia three times the best part is the land tours in Borneo. The unchecked commercial fishing in the Malaysian waters has taken its toll. I would be hard pressed to go back for a free trip.

World of difference diving in Indonesia and Micronesia.

I was there around 1995. Even back then it didn't merit more than 6 days, and I'm sure it's not getting better. We did get a decent number of hammerheads, but they were often as deep as 55 meters.
