Sharm El-Sheikh

I will be in the Middle East in June of 2014. Can any body give a idea of the current political climate both in Sharm El-Sheikh and Dahab. If I go I will be flying direct in to the resort airports.

I was there in February 13. As far as I can tell it is reasonably safe, as long as you take the necessary precautions. Meaning no wondering about in the country side, stay in the tourist areas and use trusted hotel cabs when going to and from Sharm to Dahab, which I recommend. But read your country foreign department guides and be sure to find check in with someone regularly from home. Best of luck

Well, it did snow in Egypt (and Israel) on 14 December. Snow closes roads in Israel, is a source of wonder in Egypt - latimes.com

I'd be more concerned about that than any instability. The cash cows of tourism have so far been off limits to protests.
