Best dive shop near Tamarindo, Costa Rica

Hello everyone, I'm new to this site.

My wife and I are newly certified and we will be going to Costa rica in May 2014. We're staying in Tamarindo. Has anyone gone diving in this area? The best dive shop I can find near there is Octal and Deep blue diving, both about an hour and a half away. I was hoping to find a good place that is closer then them. All help Appreciated!

PADI also lists two in Flamingo - looks about 1/2 hr? drive north.

There are a few shops in Flamingo that may be of interest. The only thing with them is that I don't believe that they offer the Bat Islands. They are great for diving the Catalinas though. If you are up for an hour drive or so, head to Rocket Frog in Ocotal. They dive the Bats, the Cats, and local diving. May is just the beginning of the popular season for Bull Sharks at the Bats.
