Great canyon reef diving spots in Asia/Micronesia?

Hi all!

Just come back from my first diving trip in Ishigaki, Japan since getting my PADI OW licence!

I discovered what I really enjoy most: conyon reeef diving. I just loved the swimming along canyons, then up over the top and down the other side - just like an underwater roller-coaster ride in amazing scenery!! To be honest, it was far more fun than the dives spent swimming round a single reef in shallow staring at lots of small nemos!!

My question is: can readers recommend any great locations in SEAsia/Micronesia/Australia (I live in Japan) for canyon reef diving? Ashigaki was great, the coral was amazing, as were the fish, but the canyons not too far from shorw are not very deep, maybe around 20m. I would love to swim in deeper coral canyons than that.

Any recommendations very greatfully received!!!

You should check out Puerto Galera in the Philippines. http://www.puertogalera.ph/ScubaDiveSites/TheCanyons.htm.
It can be full on when the current is strong, best to have experience in strong currents before this dive.

Lots of other dive sites also.
