My (new) wife and I are trying to plan our honeymoon. We are having trouble deciding and since this is where I frst found out about Cozumel I thought I would again turn to the experts. We obviously want to dive but, she doesn't want it to only be about diving. We love Cozumel but, she wants to try something new. I'm all for this so it's open season. Where would you guys go for a romantic, diving, beach relaxing getaway? We would like to keep it under $5000. We are looking to travel anytime between March and the middle of June.
Thanks for your help.
Joe
Now this is from someone who has been nowhere (YET) But we have been researching a lot. A few suggestions.
Hawaii,
Saba(not sure about the beach though),
Cozumel has other things, secluded beaches on the eastern side of the island and lots of things to do on the mainland, Playa del Carman (30 munute ferry ride) and Cancun a little further up the road.
Headed to Cozumel........ Feb. 10-14 and March 24-April 1. Staying at Villa Blanca and diving with Opal's Dream
Life may not always be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well DANCE
I like Cozumel too. You could try Ambergris Cay Belize, but that may be more expensive. The RIU resorts are also very nice on the Mayan Riviera in Mexico.

That's more than a little vague.
Are we talking diving +
a) casinos
b) nightlife (dancing... fancy or local?)
c) dinner shows
d) scenic touring (waterfalls, birding, etc)
e) adventure touring (jeeps, jungle canopy zip lines, white water, windsurfing)
f) carnival attractions (parasailing, limbo contests)
g) drink service on the beach with those little umbrellas
h) spa services
i) lying about naked on the beach
Romance is where you make it.
"Herself" tells me that the best time was when we were sitting on a rocky moonlit tuft of grass in the Galapagos- eating peanut butter on crackers with some diet Coke. She has several runners-up that are equally low key.
How about something more exotic? My fiance and I are planning a trip to the Maldives for our Honeymoon. We're playing a game of chicken with the monsoon season (early May), but figured that the worst that could happen is we'd been confined to our room for a few hours a day (not a bad thing. . . ).
Fiji might work well, too -- if you're not afraid of the coup. We considered it, but bailed out when the coup took place.

Congrats, and enjoy!!!

Not if they want to do it nicely and under $5000....Tickets alone would take 1/2 that
Or else I would have suggested Bora Bora
