House Swapping, Anyone Ever Done This?

I would really like to do this.

Tuscany, Australia, Croatia, I would go almost anywhere. Would like to trade this summer.

    oh..it's just stuff.

I guess you lock up your personal items in one room. You could even switch your mattress. (I think about that stuff too) I plan to get over that though....

I think if we switched the mattress, locked up all the personal items, I could cope with that. Most of the people swapping are retired couples, I noticed. They probably are pretty tame.

It's an interesting idea, especially if they were willing to clean floors, and watch my Dog!

As much as it pains me. Go with Croatia. Split and Zagreb are beautiful and you can still dive fairly easy in Split. ( I would guess, I didn't do any diving while there) Either way both cities are amazing.

It was relatively inexpensive. But the time that I was there the currency was devalued (if I remember correctly). I spent a fair amount of time in different parts of what was Yugoslavia.

The architecture was awesome (when it didn't have holes shot into it ) if you want some more info, let me know.

I work with a person who swaps houses (about once every four years) for a month with a couple in England. We are in North Carolina.

I have a client in Florida that swaps houses with friends in California for one month each year (they swap automobiles also)

I think it would be fine if you got the right folks to swap with!
