I like to travel very much. However, the night before I find it very hard to sleep as I continually go through my bag, itinerary etc., to make sure I have everything. Lists don't help. I keep updating the list.

It is now 9:40PM and I have to get up at 5AM. There is no way I'll be asleep before 2AM. Beer does no good as it gets me all reved up. Now I'm ready to party and I'm not even there yet.

I guess this post should be in Whine and Cheese.

I'm outa here!! Grand Cayman here I come.

I traveled almost 8 months out of the year for a good 5 years straight. It was for work and I was going to diving locations I also was super excited about every trip. What helped me was what I the days before the trip. I made sure I got plenty of exercise and always planned as best as I could to have a light day before my trip, but worked heavy and hard up until that day before travel.

You're gonna love Grand Cayman..
Don't worry about sleep too much.
The body is resilient.
Get off the computer though that'll keep you up. If you are like me. just starting to read a book at night will put me to sleep.

I start calming down the day before I leave and actually get to bed early that night whereas normally I am a very late, late night owl. Just like how you relax into a dive to lower your SAC rate but on land.

As stated above - Exercise is always a good ideal!

The best treatment for such OC behavior is practice, practice, and more practice.

Enjoy.
