I recently went on a trip sold by my local dive shop. They had a guy go with us from the local dive shop. I tipped the resort dive shop at our destination yet I was wondering what the etiquette is for tipping the guy that went along with us. Is it proper to tip the local diveshop guy or was he just along for the ride?

I'd appreciate any comments ... Wayne

The dive shop probably earned a commission by booking your group and the guy they sent along was probably getting a free trip. I don't think you need to tip the LDS guy unless he did something out-of-the-ordinary for you.

Make sure to tip the LOCAL Dive guides, especially if they are diving with you.

The shop guy is more than likely getting a free ride. They usually do. So you already paid for that! :D

Enjoy your trip, and good diving.
