I live on an island. We would probably have more tourists if the air fare were reasonable. For me to visit my daughter and her family in North Carolina, the average fare is over $600. Plus I've got to take off my shoes, show all my carry-on stuff and get scanned. And no free food or drinks any more, paying for my checked luggage. Have yet to get the pat down but makes you wonder, what's next?
