Hello my fellow friends divers, I want to share my experience in diving with you, because I need some advises about another dives around the world.
I've been diving 4 years of my life but only in Mexico (Cozumel, Playa del Carmen and Cancun) Now let me tell you my friends that it has been a great and wonderful experience to have different kinds of divings like, cavern dives, wreak dives, open water, night dives, diving with the bull shark, and all of this with my instructor Alvaro Gonzales that I personally recommend, he has a diving shop which name is "Always Diving", it has been so great that now is my life, my passion and my daily inspiration. But now I need some advises to know which would be the best option to go dive out of Mexico, for you my friends, Which country, reef, or dive would you recommend? I really want to have a different diving experience from the caribbean and try something more exiting.
Thanks for your time and i'll more than glad to hear from you!
Leon man.
There is spectacular diving up and down the Pacific Coast of North America, and it is very different from what you have experienced so far. But it is cold water diving.
Muck diving in Indonesia is also quite different, and incredibly exciting if you are fond of seeing weird and wonderful critters.
There is incredible wreck diving in the Red Sea and in the South Pacific.
If you want to go farther than the Caribbean, it depends on your budget but the Philippines has some fantastic diving with a range of accommodations from basic/inexpensive to fancy/expensive. Check out the Philippines forum here.
I am from Philippines and I have recently acquired my diving license in Coron, Palawan here in my homeland. If you are looking for amazing wrecks, diverse aquatic life and thermoclimatic underwater experience without spending too much, then Coron is the best destination to dive.
More so, if you can't get enough of them, you can head on to El Nido, Palawan, Balicasag Island in Bohol, Malapascua Island (for thresher sharks), Cebu and Anilao, Batangas which is near the capital, Manila.
I guarantee you that you will have a very worthwhile underwater experience with these fascinating destinations!
So far (for OW diving) nothing can even come close to diving in Sipadan Malaysia. Some of the most phenomenal diving I've ever done, though the Galapagos came in at a very near second.
