I'm a Fish!
Mulling over organizing a GW dive as a charity event. Looking at probably Channel Islands or Guadalupe. Are there any operators that will allow uncaged divers? I'd really like to film the divers in the cage from outside of it...I could care less about the GW's being in the water with me, as long as there isn't a chumslick above me...lol.

I don't know if I would call it careless...but it's evidently illegal at Guadalupe. I've been in the water with them before, and found them no more aggressive than any other shark...but as I implied before, bait and or chum would obviously make that a different story.
Thanks for the informative link Drrich.

Channel Islands? Where? Sightings of great whites here on Catalina are infrequent (unless you are a GUE diver based out of Hollywoodivers!). Guadalupe is about as sure as it gets. I was there with a scientific expedition back in Dec 2004 so we didn't use any of the operators back then and I don't know their policies.

I can remember seeing them fairly regularly when I was younger fishing out there...seasonally. That was over 20years ago though, so I'm not sure how much has changed.
