I have the SRP CY filter and have been using it for the last few months shore diving here in SoCal. I have been pleased with the results, but have been reading that below 50', the SRP CY filter isn't great.

I'm traveling to Cayman in late July and most of my diving will be below that depth.

Is there another filter that would serve better?

Or, would adding a light(s) to the system + the CY filter be a better bet? (Or maybe the light + filter is too much)...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I can definitely confirm that the SRP CY filter is not suitable below 50 feet, depending on the ambient light. I will also be looking into other options such as the Flip3.1 before my next trip, but I don't think adding a light to the SRP filter would work so good.
