Door County,Wisc trip report Great Trip!

We all met early at our Little Sturgeon dive lodge and getaway, swimjim and Jim=two Jim's both diving doubles. We headed to Sturgeon bay launch,Man I felt like a DM loading them sets of doubles! and the dive was to be the Ocean Wave, the lake was calm as the Sky's looked dark as we took the trip out.
Once moored we splashed with top side water temps 57.8 and at depth 109'FSW I had a read of 42 deg,vis was nice at 50 feet could of been more if Sky's were not overcast.
As we headed down to the mooring stakes you could make the wreck to the north, and this was the first Great lake/wreck dive for our one teck diver GUE/DIR and Master diver working thru his mix gas courses as he turned wow there was the Ocean Wave! SwimJim shot lots of photos as he may post if we get them to photo bucket or other site as SBs gallery seems lost forever! SAD!
All in all a great dive was had as I was the one that told the others not to mix up the bottom and I was the one that did as now I think I can drop the ankle weights with my jets.
One thing I did conclude is them doubles give you the gas but wow I hope I dint pop something lifting them things, and the other for a second dive you need some major room (for extra gas)
Great day, great dive fun was had by all I am sure as we had a nice SI back at the dive lodge!
Now to plan some major diving the 4th July weekend as the E.R. Williams may be on the slate but the weather will have to work for the major run up and out to her! all subject to weather or other dives Bay side or Lake side,
Dive Safe,
Brad

That wasen't just a dive, but an adventure. I'd never put in at Sturgeon Bay before. That was pretty cool. The way out to the wreck was almost as interesting as the wreck itself. We were also gifted with wonderful weather, not to mention Viz. I haven't messed with my photos other then to do corrections and CD's at this point. Those that Brad posted are some pretty good examples though. Pastor Jims got his act together for diving. You can see his good trim in the photo's. I hope to dive with him again soon. Brad too of course. A great day.

Jim
