My son and I started diving two years ago. My daughter is hoping to get certified this spring. We have dove several of the quarries in NW Ohio. We were interested in Great Lake shore diving or a charter service you might recommend for beginners.
Hi Kim welcome to Scubaboard...I am looking for charters this summer too. I talked to a few at underwater world show but, havn't tried any of them so I con't reccomend any. Good luck!

Welcome. There are some great charter operations in the Great Lakes areas. My favorites are Rec & Tec Dive Charters in Port Sanilac, Mi.; the Rec Diver at Straits Scuba in St. Ignace, Mi.; Capt. Mike Cook in Whitefish Point, Mi., and Northern Tech Divers in Kingston, Ontario. But there are lots of others. Have fun!
Welcome to the scuba board! I to am looking to do some diving in Northeast Or Northwestern Ohio (Lake Erie) I am told that there are a number of wrecks to dive in Lake Erie. Also Great Lakes Wrecking Crew is having a Meet-N-Greet on April 27, 28, 29

Great diving in both places. If you don't feel comfortable doing deeper diving, talk to the operator before booking. Depths of wrecks can vary from beginner to advanced skills.
I dived both places in September while on assignment...all I got to say is "wow".
Guys, don't get me wrong, but wrack tours for beginners?
we organize beginner and advanced tours - liveabord - that is the ones I'd recomend first. look into www.belugadivers.com tours are explained there
