Ken was taking some underwater pictures that might prove the weeds are short. The best I can do is a surface pic thanks to a sinus infection and bronchitis. Now doesn't THIS make you want to pack your stuff and head out there?
This is my favorite time of year for Natural Springs, I DETEST those weeds!

TG, how about White Star this Saturday since you missed last weekend?
I still have to clean up my dry suit. This past weekend proved to me it is time to dive wet for the summer.
Ken - Our Springfield YMCA SLAM Rescue group is scheduled to leave for Whitestar at 6:30 a.m. Saturday. There are three of us left in the class and one instructor. We lost a police officer due to a non class related back injury. We'll be spending the morning on our rescue dives. We hope to tour the rock crusher and the rest of the quarry after we finish our course work. Feel free to join us if you need some dive buddies. We can always use more victims - er I mean divers.
TG - Sorry I left you out of the previous post. Please join us if you can. We will need as many GLWC divers as possible to cheer us through our training!!
I imagine WS temps are similar to Gilboa temps and still far too cold for me, but thank you!
Ken has a superhuman ability to tolerate cold water. Seriously, he was cast for the Super Friends (you remember, Hall of Justice and all that), but Batman became envious of Ken's powers and everyone decided it was best for if Ken left the set so they could put an end to the undertone of jealousy.

(sorry, was that too silly?)
I think it was all those years cramped into the back of USAF airplanes where he developed his tolerance...not exactly known for their creature comforts. But yes, he does have super-power immunity to cold water and his dry suit is more of a fashion statement rather than exposure protection. He goes wet where some won't go dry...

In between helping out with the underwater nav for Wright States AOW class, I might be persuaded to be a victim for rescue. I did my rescue dives up at White Star last fall and enjoyed that class, it was a very beneficial one. I just have to save the last dive for the AOW. I may have to go rescue the underwater buoys used in the one exercise!

I never spent any years in the back of USAF planes - I was in the basement! B-52 crew has 4 (err, now 3, they took out the gunner) upstairs, and 2 downstairs. I was in the downstairs positions, navigator and radar navigator (aka Bombardier). But, yeah, principle was the same, the copilot had the temperature control upstairs (up until the mid-90's when they finally gave us a temp control downstairs), so it was always very cold or very hot.

I think it'll be a little warmer than Gilboa. This time last year I had about 50 at White Star.
