    Haigh Quarry Vis

Well, I just went to Haigh Quarry and it is true: they are getting about 30 feet!!!!! Now I must warn that I went on a unpopular day (thursday), so with the many people there on the weekends, it might be different. Also, it is not warm enough for the algae to really start to grow so if you can make it out there ASAP, it will probably be more enjoyable.

    I was there yesterday.
Vis was 25ft or so. Temp was 44 in the hole, 46 around the larc/truck and 59 above 25ft or so my gauge says.

I'll be there tomorrow. I was there two weeks ago and the viz was about 30 feet at the hole and 45 degrees at depth. Let's hope the viz stays good for a while.

Duane, I'll be diving with Scuba Emporium tomorrow...I'm sure you know where they setup at....come on over and introduce yourself. I'll be with Sandy also..she has a video setup so that may make it easier.

I was there today and yesterday also...typical viz conditions on training weekends...crap on the shallow side and better away from there.

    Jason,

I was on the south dock all day. We had great viz in the hole. Still is around 30 feet. I did notice that the viz on the Flamingo was getting bad. I did see Harold swimming around and said Hi. I was also shooting video. I was hoping to get some practice inside the Flamingo, but with the viz being as bad as it was, I don't think it turned out well.

I've been avoiding the shallow side. I was over there at the beginning of April and it was great. But I'm sure it's gotten stirred up since.

    No problem....

We hit the Flamingo right after a group of 7 or 8 came up from there. Viz was so so, I've seen much worse on that thing.

I'll be out again Wednesday morning...now that should be clear.

I saw two paddlefish this weekend....got video to prove it too.

We saw one while doing a safety stop at the hole. It must have been about 4 feet long. This was the second sighting for me this year.
