Dec 2013:
CN is not a dive mecca but for a couples getaway it is fantastic. Diving is included in the AI cost. We just spent 6 nights (lost a night due to flight cancellation and weather at DFW) at Couples Negril. This was our third trip to CN which balances for us as a getaway since the wife does not dive, but is a great value for an AI.
The dive shop does a 2 tank dive Saturday mornings and then offers a morning and an afternoon dive everyday Sunday thru Friday. There are usually two night dives per week. All dives are boat dives with depths from 45 to 110.
The dive shop staff was phenomenal and in the a.m. if there was a group of OW and AOW, they would split the groups to allow the AOW to do a deep dive.
Their compressor is currently down so all tanks were being refilled at CSA. The resort provides all gear and equipment (Sherwood BC and regs). I brought my own gear which was not issue. They dive shop staff has no problem letting divers store BC's and wetsuits in the dive shop and they provide lockers (with lock and key) for fins, mask and peripheral gear storage.
The DM's gave excellent dive briefings on locations, BT and safety. Nurse sharks and Eagle Rays were present
Enjoyed a fantastic week with the wife and completed 9 dives in 5 days, which included deep dives, drift dives, night dive.
