Just got back from a diving trip in the Dominican Republic. Following recommendations from this forum we decided to dive in the village of Bayahibe. What a great choice! We enjoyed staying in this Dominican village and not staying at a big resort. And, we had a great week of diving with ScubaFun! The divemasters (Igor and Roger) were knowledgeable and helpful. We dove almost every morning to the many local reefs and took two day trips out to both Saona and Catalina Islands. The local reefs are all a short boat ride, 15-30 minutes. While the daytrips are a bit further and include two dives with lunch on the Island. I would recommend that if anyone is going to DR to dive to go to Bayahibe and lockup John and ScubFun. Diving with ScubaFun was a pleasure, they took care of our equipment daily and had it on board ready to go everyday. Spacious boats and helpful dive masters.

Now it's time to start planning our next dive trip....hmmm....maybe Bonaire?

Did you stay at the apartment that ScubaFun rents out? We are planning a trip there in July. How is the diving?
