Next spring I am doing a trip to El Cid, Cozumel with my LDS. As part of my divemaster mapping project, a few of us are going to map the airplane dive site in front of the resort. My LDS/instructor have been there many times and recommended this as the map project. Since I have never been there before, I wanted to try and find some background data on the site to know what to prepare for.
Does anyone know what type of plane it is, general layout or orientation?
I want to get some general sketches together and form a plan of attack for the project. Any info. on this site would be greatly appreciated.
it is a pretty simple site, fourty or fifty yards off the beach, the plane is a two seater twin engine thing that was put down there for a film (might even have been james bond if I remember).
Septh is about 20-30 ft and is popular site for intro/resort dives.
