Looking for any info on good shallow water dive locations on the coast of Michoacan. Already looking at Faro de Bucerias. Any info is appreciated. Areas with fewer sharks and crocs is also appreciated, in the same area.

Diving the "Quetzalcoatl" the days of the 20th and 21st.

The ship was built in the United States and was standard bearer like the Mexican February 24, 1982, according to data of the rear Admiral VùÄtor Uribe Arñ×alo. The ship of 110 meters of length and 12meters wide, served during its useful life for the battle to the illegal fishing, the marine contamination, the gun-running and the drug trafficking. It was center of instruction for the group of training of the Pacific, carried out operations of military transportation, and rescue, and was considered flagship of the Naval Force of the Pacific. Also it was granted honorable mention to its crew in recognition to its successful participation during the rescue of the Mexican Petroleums tank ship "Bacab" that was set on fire to 10 nautical miles of Tip Maldonado Oaxaca, June 13, 1995. The ship is thought to be at 27m of depth (accurate depth yet unknown) and was scuttled in November 2006.

Penetration diving allowed if you are trained.

It would be great if you can join us. To go contact Alberto Ruiz Gaytan of Oceanos.com.mx in Guadalajara: 3,800m.n. see the website.

I'm looking for somebody to do the IANTD wreck course with me in the coming weeks. This will be in Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta.

    Cavern and Wreck Diver
    Taught by: Overhead Environment Instructor
    Prerequisites: Advanced Open Water Diver

The Cavern and Wreck training programs develop wreck diving skills and cavern diving
skills within limits of light penetration. These programs are designed to ensure divers are
aware of self-responsibility and capable of risk management in overhead environments.
The programs may be taught using either air or Nitrox.

Possible that this can be taught in combination with Technical or Normoxic Trimix course then you would need to be an IANTD Adv. Nitrox/Deep diver.

    PM me!

Been in Greece all summer - Crete and Skiathos. I dare to say the conditions are comparable to the Pacific. Slightly more over-fished. I've had email updates from Alberto at Oceanos - Red Sea trip, Megalodon training, Normoxic, and Trimix training scheduled. Also an email from Roberto of Vallartech - upcoming expedition - check their websites. I'll be back in Mexico and diving end of September. I'll look for more info then.
