Diving Wrecks Jasmin & Ludwig

Hi All,

I'm expected to dive the Jasmin & Ludwig off UAE in the near future. I've tried to find out in advance about both ships, and beyond the Explorer book, haven't managed to find out much, i.e. no photos on the web.

Both wrecks are approximately 26-28 metres in depth. Can anyone tell me what the current, visability, temperature, and quality of the dive is likely to be? Also I plan to take an underwater camera down with me, is it worth the effort?

Many thanks in advance for your time.

Who are you diving them with? The only people that i know that go out there on a regular basis are the BDAC folks?! Al Boom have just started diving again but they tend to focus on Zainab and hopper barge!!
Anyway, in answer to your question you can expect about 29-31 degrees centigrade, viz from 10-15m, some current as they are off shore - you might want to check the tide tables to get a better idea. Dives can be great and thye can be rubbish, you can get some good penetration on the Jasmin. I wouldn't take a camera on the first dive as you will need to focus on what you are doing, orientation and possibly fighting the current a bit...
If you have any space on the boat let me know, would love to do them with you!!

Going with Ocean dive centre, AD! although awaiting confirmation on date time, should be soon - on M.E. weekend. Also thanks for the heads up about camera thing too. Sounds like save this for the Ludwig - same day.
Cheers.
