Holy cow, the water was warm this morning!! Went to Makena Landing (Maui) and did a 1 hour 45 minute dive and never even got close to chilled. Friends were telling us that the water this summer was 82 with a sometimes 83 reading, which is about 3-4 degrees warmer than in a long, long time.

Great dive though, saw a bunch of different nudis, sharks in the caves, and many, many juvenile fish of all types. So sad that the Monk Seals that have been hanging out there were no where to be seen, so fingers crossed they'll return later in the week when we're back to Makena. Tomorrow and Tuesday are boat dives.

We're getting 78-79 degree readings regularly. The north swell brought us choppy water today, with NO boats being able to do Molokini. We did 3 great dives down in La Perouse, with a bit of a rough ride back to the ramp at 1:30
