Are there any dive boats in Kauai that allow solo-certified divers to dive solo?

I don't know about "official policy" but I have solo dived with two ops there.

Seemed like a "don't ask, don't tell" thing. Fully consistent with my experience that when you show up anywhere warm with a drysuit, BP/W, 7ft hose, can light, etc and tell 'em you're from New Jersey... they pretty much ask you not to pick on the other divers and let you do your own thing.

:shocked2:

Seems like a solo card would be a better idea

My Divemaster rating usually gets me a "just stay within sight of the group" your-on-your-own pass on most boats. The standard around the islands is all chartered boat diving are guided dives. Unlike the wild west diving in California where the DM never leaves the boat.
