Here's a couple Trumpet Fish dueling it out. Looked mostly like a territorial situation but who knows? Maybe they liked each other?

TRUMPET FISH SHOWDOWN

Thanks Gabe, it was fun to watch. I took several minutes worth of this but this clip is when I was able to get the closest and best action. They were engaged like this for quite a while and continued even after we left. The video was shot on my last day of diving on the 20th of April. I hurt my back that afternoon after the dives and haven't been able to walk until today....(and I don't really call it walking if you know what I mean)... so no haven't seen these two but I'll be looking for them as soon as I can strap a tank on again!! In the meantime I'm just trying to sell some shaka shirts and hats and get rid of some old gear I've had laying around to make some room in my garage and bring in some dough.

Need anything??

Get a inversion table and use it every day "They Work Great". Just put it at a little angle not upside down. It will take the pressure off. I know how it is to have a bad back trust me. I used to race and ride stand up jet skis for years LOL. When I get over there soon again I will look you up and go diving with you if your feeling better. Good luck and try the table.

Thanks for the video posts. I don't have anything to contribute, but I'm hoping some of our lurking marine biologists will drop in and tell us a little more about what we are seeing. The butterfly fish almost looks like it is searching for a handout -- doesn't appear aggressive as if its guarding something -- or maybe it thought you were a big fish looking to be cleaned. The trumpetfish look like they are dueling, but I wonder if it isn't mating behavior.

I heard a whale fart once. Or maybe it was a geothermal thing, but whatever it was, the whales were screaming one day off from Portlock when I heard an unmistakable and enormous release of bubbles that had nothing to do with either my buddy OR myself. I'm sticking to the whale fart.

I saw a turtle fart once... got that one video:
