While in Kona over the holidays, we did a few dives with Jacks Diving Locker and ended up doing one of the best dives I have been on. They even blogged a bit of it Whale Shark Sighting after the New Year | Jack's Diving Locker

My whole family dives and one of my daughters was bringing her boyfriend on this trip. We told him if you vacation with us you better get certified or spend a lot of time on the beach alone. Anyhow, his FIRST dive as a certified diver goes like this.

The dive actually started off with a large humpback breaching right beside the boat, but we decided to leave the humpback because the whale shark showed up. Over the side to snorkel with the big fish.

Then onto the dive site. Not the the boat trip didnt have its cool events. Down we go, now these are the things that came by. Remember this was his FIRST dive.

Large Pod of dolphins
Eagle Ray
2 Octopus
A HUGE barracuda
and a Turtle
Not to mention the regular marine life

The only thing really missing was a shark. Which we tried to find on our 2nd dive with no luck. Seems whenever I "try" to find something I get skunked. We even got skunked on the manta dive. But the above dive was great!

Watch out... you just "gave" your daughter a new dive buddy!
