Looking to let our 11 yr old get certified this summer. We've been diving with Lahaina Divers several times, mostly good experiences. I'm not so into the cattle boat experience any more, but I'd tolerate it for quality instruction, provided my daughter didn't get caught up in the middle of a cattle drive while trying to learn. My in-laws did a Discover Scuba with Tiny Bubbles (shore dive), and I'm thinking that environment might be a less stressful experience for her certification dives. Anyone know how well either outfit is with children, or other recommendations?

I will strongly recommend you contact Maui Dreams in Kihei. Small group instruction and amazing with kids.
